The cast of Avatar 3 includes both familiar characters from the previous Avatar films and new actors joining the franchise's ensemble. Following the success of Avatar: The Way of Water, which was almost as successful at the box office as its predecessor and earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture, it was a no-brainer to make a third Avatar movie. However, Avatar 3 had been in production long before the release of the first sequel. Despite not being released until December 20, 2024, the extensive visual effects of an Avatar movie mean that the entire cast of the third installment has already completed filming their scenes.

Casts

 Sam Worthington (Jake Sully)

In Avatar 3, Sam Worthington plays Jake Sully, the human protagonist who transforms into a Na'vi. Marcus Wright from Terminator Salvation and Perseus from the 2010 Clash of the Titans remake and its follow-up Wrath of the Titans are two of Worthington's prior franchise roles. In addition, he portrayed a younger David Peretz in the thriller The Debt, starring opposite Ciarán Hinds, and Ron Lafferty in the true crime miniseries Under the Banner of Heaven. In the video game Call of Duty: Black Ops and its follow-ups, Worthington provided the voice of Captain Alex Mason, the main character.

Neytiri (Zoe saldana)

In Avatar: The Way of Water, Zoe Saldaña plays Jake's wife Neytiri, who abandoned her family in the Omatikaya tribe to join the Metkayina people. The actress is also well-known for her performances as Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Nyota Uhura in the Star Trek reboot film series. Saldaña has become one of Hollywood's highest-grossing performers because to the MCU and the Avatar trilogy. Saldaña initially rose to fame in the road movie Crossroads, where she played Kit opposite Britney Spears. She also portrayed Laura Shane, Adam's wife, in The Adam Project and Aisha in The Losers.

Britain Dalton (Lo'ak)

In television, Dalton portrayed Jason Larson in eight episodes of the Goliath legal drama on Amazon and made a cameo appearance as Billy Hawkins in a Criminal Minds episode. In the video game Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, Dalton performed the voice and motion capture for a young Nathan Drake. In addition, he had a small part in Ready Player One as a high school student and performed the supporting character of Dean in the crime movie Thumper.

  Jack Champion (miles spider socorro)

In the cast of Avatar 3, Jack Champion plays Miles Socorro, the teenage son of the evil Colonel Miles Quaritch, also known by his nickname "Spider," who was raised by Jake and Neytiri. In Scream VI, the actor also portrayed Chad Meeks-Martin's college roommate, Ethan Bailey, from Blackmore University. In Avengers: Endgame, he also had a little part as a young cyclist who is questioned by a bewildered Scott Lang. Champion made his film debut in 2018 as Kevin's sidekick in the horror comedy The Night Sitter.

 Sigourney Weaver (Kiri)

Sigourney Weaver, who portrayed Dr. Augustine in the first Avatar film, plays Kiri, the daughter of Dr. Grace Augustine who is adopted by Jake and Neytiri. Renowned for her roles as Gwen DeMarco in Galaxy Quest, Dana Barrett in Ghostbusters, and Ellen Ripley in Alien, Weaver is a symbol of science fiction film. She has received three Oscar nods, four Emmy nominations, a Tony Award nomination, a BAFTA Award, two Golden Globes, and a Grammy. Additionally, Weaver and James Cameron collaborated on the Alien sequel Aliens.

Stephen Lang (Colonel Miles Quaritch)

Stephen Lang plays Colonel Miles Quaritch, the major antagonist of Avatar 3, who died in the first film and was raised from the dead in an Avatar body for the sequels. The actor has also starred in films as Manhunter, Freddy Lounds in the first Hannibal Lecter film, Major General George E. Pickett in Gettysburg, bandit Ike Clanton in Tombstone, and the wicked Norman Nordstorm in Don't Breathe and its sequel. Lang has also portrayed characters on television, including Commander Nathaniel Taylor in the brief sci-fi series Terra Nova, Increase Mather in ten episodes of Salem, and Waldo in thirteen episodes of Into the Badlands.
